At the time I photographed this image I practically went everywhere with my camera. I looked for subject matter which was “ordinary” rather than exotic. In camera cropping, selective focus and darkroom manipulation of tonal regions in the final print constituted my primary tool set.

Zeitgeist
From a series of works which examined destruction … unfortunately little documentation (it was mostly B/W 1/2″ video) of this body of works which included a range of irreversible destructive acts and gestures survived. The example below is of a radiogram which was playing Mozart’s “Eine kleine Nachtmusic” when it was lifted to a 4th floor windowsill and dropped on the concrete below.
365 Days project
Below are some installation shots of the 365 Days exhibition which was shown at Airspace in Sydney in 1995. The project consisted of a film a day (yes, film !) i.e. 36 exposures which visually mapped the day. The show also featured a 210 minute video Video showing each of the 13 000 odd frames sequentially and a single, Slip cased, artist book with 365 11 x 14 ” pages of the work.
