The year my son Marcel was born we moved into the house in the hills where I still live. In the cellar were some left over items from previous owners. I decided to use them as my reference material for a document of an imagined journey to a far away land. Hence the title “Antipodean dreams”.
In a collaboration with Alex Rizkalla, these still lives were constructed as elements of a imaginary and surreal story. Every construct lasted only long enough to be captured by the camera.
